YES: And was it a Yahoo email address (ie "example@yahoo.com") provided to us to be placed on our Group Email from your membership application form?
- If
Yes, please review the YahooGroups Calendar tutorial for
guidance in how to "add", "edit", or "delete" your event, along with
how to use the "automatic" reminders that will go out using our Group
Email to all members. If you are an experienced user, AND have at
least viewed the Calendar Tutorial once, you can go
directly to our
Tampa
Singles Online Calendar after signing in with your Yahoo ID
and
password. You may want to place the Tampa Singles Online Calendar
webpage in your internet browser's "favorites" folder.
- If No, please click on the navigational link "Back to Our Home Page" and join our club by reviewing our bylaws, and completing our membership form along with dues as directed on the application form. However, if you are a member and you have a Yahoo ID and password, and you submitted another personal email address, you have two choices:
- Request to change your TS Group Email address to your Yahoo ID (email address), by contacting us (click on the Contact Us/Email Us links) and requesting this change (please provide your full name with this request to make it easier to identify you. NOTE: this could take up to a week to effect this change for your TS Group Email address.
- Edit your Yahoo Membership to include your "alternate" email address that is currently listed on the TS Group Email to have email sent to. Members with Yahoo ID and password should be familiar with how to "edit" their membership account. If not, please follow the guidance in the Calendar Tutorial.
NOTE:
If you are using only
your Yahoo ID email address for both sign-in and our Group Email
(easiest way is to click on Tampa Singles Online Calendar links -- see
link above,
then once at Tampa-Singles YahooGroups, Click on "Messages" on the left
hand bar besides the calendar) it is important that you read your
email messages frequently at the Yahoo website, otherwise, your Yahoo
ID (account) could be deactivated. Only your Yahoo ID will be associated with
your input (as the "author") on the online calendar and its reminders
(Refer to the Calendar
Tutorial).
NO: This is for Tampa Singles members who have their personal email address - which is NOT a Yahoo email address (ie: "example@yahoo.com") as the email address denoted on the TS Group Email (the email address the member provided to us on their membership application form). There is NO COST to create a Yahoo ID (email address) and its password, but it is required to have one as well as being a member of Tampa Singles in order to use the YahooGroups features/tools for our group such as the Tampa Singles Online Calendar.
- The easiest and most informative place to create your Yahoo Sign-in and Password is from the Yahoo Help Page for Sign-in and Registration. There is other information located there to hopefully answer any questions you may have regarding this process. You should see a screen like this:

- Click on the Sign-in
under "My Help", and then click on
"sign-up" link at the bottom of "Sign-In" page (see picture below) -
follow the
instructions for new users. Make sure that the "alternate" email
address is the same email address that you submitted on your membership
application form to be placed on
our Group Email List. REMEMBER
THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE PROVIDE "FACTUAL" INFORMATION TO YAHOO IF YOU ARE
CONCERNED ABOUT PRIVACY ETC.

- Yahoo will send confirmation to the email address you provide as the "alternate" email. Remember your Yahoo ID and password; if you forget either one, you can click on the link above to take you back to the Yahoo Help webpage and click on the appropriate help link.
- Once you have your Yahoo ID and password go ahead and go to the Calendar
Tutorial to show
you how to edit your Yahoo membership (such as which email address
you'd like to have all your TS Group Emails sent to) -- from the
calendar
screen, as well as, how to use the Tampa Singles Yahoo Online Calendar
